Run No. 33

Date : 22/04/04

Hares : Colin Chan / Steven Lee Road

Venue : Ten Mile Junction

No. of runners 23 including Johnny, Alan Cheng and Ting Ting

The run started from Ten-Mile Junction, the famous building with the title of most un-leased space, relatively, for 5 years running...

From there, it went along Choa Chu Kang Road passsing KTM train track, Teck Whye and old Keat Hong camp and there to under cross the MRT track with the first circle check right beneath concrete column of the train track.

Connecting trail brought the runners into the Lam Sum tracks, away from the buzzer of vehicle traffic. Continuous 15-minutes of pounding on dirt tracks brought the runners out to T-junction along Bukit Batok Road across West Ave 7.

From there it was more road pounding to West Ave 4 then along Street 33, Street 32, Street 31 and crossing West Ave 5 to visit the big pond behind Bukit Gombak MRT Station at Bukit Batok Town Park.

Looping back from the pond, the trail return to West Ave 5 along path below MRT track.

Continuing to Chua Chao Kang Road, the trail back-track on the opposite traffic to reach "home".

The trail was apparently re-marked partially due to heavy down pour around 3:00pm.

Well marked trail with mainly paper and some flour. Good effort from the hares.

First runner in was about 1 hr 15 minutes by Jin Teck and Dead End.

Circle

There were 3 consultants for this run, as we were told, making the number of people setting this run one-quarter of the Thirsdae Hash membership. If this rate was to persist, the existing members will probably need to set a run every 6 weeks or so.... hence the consultants and hares were iced...

Thirsdae Hash had its first Eat-out run at the only restaurant in Ten Mile Junction. Food was delicious comprising 8-dish course: Fried Rice, Pork Ribs, Sambal Kang Kong, Steamed "Song" fish head, tufo...... plus bottle of Chevals, Couvoisier XO, plenty of Anchor......
