Venue: Toa Payoh Rise off Toa Payoh Lorong 1
Hares: AGAR AGAR & HUMP BACK
The run-site was actually a deserted HDB housing estate car park (Blk 164). Fortunately, I was able to locate the run site and it was drizzling or a 'little wet'. The run started off in the direction of the main road (Toa Payoh Lorong 1) but looped back into Toa Payoh Rise. I had suspected earlier when I saw Boob a loop running that direction. Anyway, the FRB's charged towards the old Toa Payoh Hospital and on down to the junction of Upper Thomson Rd and Marymount Rd. The trails led the pack towards Marymount Rd and across into the Mt. Alvernia Hospital. The trail then led the pack all the way along Lornie Rd towards the Media Corp Studios. The markings actually led the pack into Joan Rd where there was a 'T' check. The FRB's found the trail further down Lornie Rd and into a slip road and back on Lornie Road again. Then the trail suddenly turned left towards the Media Corp Headquarters. The actually trail led the pack towards the left (Olive Rd), but there was another 'T' check and the trail actually turned right via Andrew Road. Along we went till the trail turned right at Jalan Mashor. At the end of this road the trail again turned right towards some greens but again another 'T' check awaits the FRB's. This particular 'T' check was something like 300 metres away from the connecting trail which was to the left into Gymkhana Ave. The trail then led us into Mt. Pleasant Rd where there was a huge construction site on the right. This road led us towards the main entrance to the Police Academy. The trail finally led us onto an overhead pedestrian crossing and into the SLF Building compound. This supposedly will lead us home. Because of the common knowledge of experienced hashers, the FRB's and slow runners were very happy to get home. The home trail however brought the pack along the great Phillips Factory. Anyway the first runner in was 55 mins and it was Boobs a loop!
Good run and exceptionally good markings.
